This year the Convention Worship & Lunch will return to Lee High School. Fellowship Reception will be at a new Location. See Below. Workshops will be held again at Alabama State. Also, hotel and other helpful info below:

Directions TO Robert E. Lee School — 225 Ann Street— Take I-65 to Montgomery to I-85 (for most people that will be I-85 North), to Exit 3 - that’s Ann Street. If you are coming from I-85 North, turn left on Ann Street; if you are coming from I-85 South, that will be a right hand turn. Take Ann Street for about one (1) mile; Lee High School is on the right; 225 Ann Street.

 

 

Directions TO Alabama State University FROM Lee High School — 915 S. Jackson Street — From the Lee High School parking area turn Left onto Ann Street and go approximately 0.4 miles. Turn Right onto Highland Avenue and continue on Highland (1.8 miles) until you get to South Jackson Street and turn Left. Continue on South Jackson Street into the Alabama State University Campus. You will come to the workshop buildings (George W. Trenholm Hall, William Burns Paterson Hall, W.H. Councill Hall and Edward G. McGehee Hall), on the left when you get to the cross street University Drive. Please note that South Jackson Street will turn into Tullibody Drive and all the buildings will be on the left except the George W. Trenholm Hall, which will be on the right on Tullibody Drive.

FROM BIRMINGHAM
Take I-65 South toward MONTGOMERY. Merge onto I-85 N / MARTIN LUTHER KING JR EXPY via EXIT 171 toward ATLANTA. Take the COURT ST exit- EXIT 1. Stay STRAIGHT to go onto ARBA ST. Turn RIGHT onto S DECATUR ST. Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto S UNION ST. Turn RIGHT onto N UNIVERSITY DR. Turn LEFT onto S JACKSON ST. End at 915 S Jackson St Montgomery, AL.

FROM ATLANTA
Take I-85 South toward MONTGOMERY (Crossing into ALABAMA).Take the UNION ST exit- EXIT 1- toward STATE CAPITOL / ALA STATE UNIV. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto S UNION ST. Turn RIGHT onto GROVE ST. Turn RIGHT onto S JACKSON ST. End at 915 S Jackson St Montgomery, AL.

FROM MOBILE

Directions TO Maggie St. Baptist Church - Dream Center FROM Alabama State University — 642 Maggie Street — Leaving from South Jackson Street continue North to Highland Avenue and turn Right. Continue on Highland Avenue to Maggie Street (approximately 0.7 miles) and turn Right and Maggie St. Baptist Church will be on the Left, which is directly behind Bethany SDA Church (over one street- Cedar St.). You may utilize parking in both churches lots.

1765 Highland Avenue — Head north on S Jackson St toward Tuscaloosa St (0.4 mi) Turn right at High St/Highland Ave. Continue to follow Highland Ave (0.7 mi). Make a U-turn at S Capitol Pkwy. Bethany Jr. Academy will be on the right.

MEALS for Officers
Important Information to Share about the meals:
1.         Each Registered Officer will receive 1 meal ticket from your Church Clerk “for all three meals” (Sabbath Lunch, Saturday evening Refreshment, and Sunday Lunch) at no cost. When parents bring children, they too must be registered to receive meal tickets. Meals are for Church Officers only! Clerks will be commissioned to distribute Meal tickets only to REGISTERED OFFICERS from their churches.
 
2.       Non-Officer participants are welcomed and encouraged to attend the conventions and participate in workshops. However, please bring a sack lunch.
