Sonja Moxey Crayton – CFO/Treasurer

Sonja holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Oakwood University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.  She has served the South Central Conference for over 20 years as Business Intern, ABC Manager, Senior Accountant, Assistant Treasurer/Controller/Auditor, Property Manager, Associate Treasurer, Risk Manager, Trust Services Director, Interim Under-Treasurer, and now Treasurer.  Her primary responsibilities here include:

  • Accounting and Financial Statements
  • Forecasting and Analysis of Financial Information
  • Budget Management
  • Overall Stewardship of Accounting Functions

Sonja is married to Maurice and they have a son and a daughter.  She enjoys traveling, bowling, resting, entertaining (hosting Sabbath meals) and spending time with family and friends.  Mrs. Crayton is very dedicated to her husband and children, and works hard to keep up with all of the family activities and appointments.

Sonja’s favorite saying is “Honor God Where You Are.”

Kimberly Griffin – Assistant Treasurer

Kimberly Griffin received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1999.  She joined the South Central Conference treasury team, January 2016 as a Senior Accountant.  Her primary responsibilities here include:

• Accounts Payable
• FHES Accounting
• Supplemental Retirement Payments
• Reconciliation of employee accounts

Kim is happily married to her husband of 17 years  Vandeon;  and the proud mother of a teenage daughter, Kalin.  She enjoys shopping for bargains, traveling with family and friends and enjoying the local cuisine of her city.

Alicia Hunt – Junior Accountant

Alicia is a native of Louisville, Kentucky where she received an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Accounting in 1987. She began her journey with the South central Conference in 1994 as a Secretary for the Youth, Sabbath School, and Family Life Departments. Alicia has served the Treasury Department for a little more than 20 years and her primarily duties include:

• Payroll
• Accounts Receivable
• Church Remittance
• SURF Accounts

Alicia is outspoken and loves to laugh, but she is serious about her God, her family and her church where she is actively involved in music ministry. She is married to Pierre Hunt of Buffalo, New York and they have two daughters and one grandson.

There are many Bible texts that she is fond of, but one of her favorites is Matthew 5:8 which simply says: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

 

Marcia Metansingh – Administrative Assistant

Marcia has served the South Central Conference for approximately 4 years as Administrative Assistant for the Treasury Department. She is an active member of Riverside Chapel. Her primary responsibilities are:

• Administrative Assistant to the Treasurer
• Coordinate Employee Moves
• Process Travel Request Forms
• Tuition Subsidy
• Remittances

Marcia enjoys cooking, traveling and time with family and friends.

Marcia’s favorite Bible text is Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV): “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
